SUNDAY STYLING : REFRESHING OUR CONSOLE
I celebrated a slow Sunday at home in comfy clothes and refreshing the console table in our dining room. Earlier this week I had stopped into my favorite local plant shop (Katie Casey Designs) in Clear Lake and got a first look at a new shipment of plants she had just brought into the shop. It has been so wonderful to add freshness to our space and have something to care for. Watering is so therapeutic and I’m grateful to have a few plants inside until it is warm enough to get back out into the garden.
Our console table is a matte black metal fixture with fluted glass doors. It houses my overflow of collected glassware + seasonal dining pieces. It adds a contemporary feel that I love. A large piece of textured art that I created is in a deep charcoal and adds depth to this space. On top I have a textured grey table lamp, layers of magazines + books, as well as one of my favorite Linnea candles. I added a clear vase with a pillar candle as well as fresh houseplants in vintage pots + thrifted blue and white ceramic plates. Over the years I have sourced pieces that really convey a timeless and collected feel. When inspiration is lacking I love to visit my favorite vintage shop ( Gin & Tarnish + JB Knacker in Jewel, IA). Their shop is filled with curated vintage that tells a story. It’s the unique + collected pieces that are timeless and add a certain coziness to our home.
I hope this inspires you to bring life and freshness into your own home. Thank you for following along.
