F/W ‘24 WISHLIST
Fall will forever be my favorite season to dress for. As the crisp air moves in we start thinking about all the layers + textures we can style to keep us warm but still feeling stylish. I look forward to this time of year when the warmer tones come to the front of my closet. I get to play with more texture and layers for my everyday looks. Below I’m sharing a few pieces that I have my eye on to add to my wardrobe for the new season ahead.
IT’S JUST A NUMBER
When it comes to jean sizes I’m the first to admit that my thoughts have always been the smaller the size the better. Now about to enter my 30’s and a new season of life this is a super unhealthy way of thinking about my body as it correlates to what size of denim fits me in that given moment. I’ve struggled with this for most of my adult life after graduating from high school and through out the years. It isn’t about if you can fit into the smaller size or not. It’s about feeling comfortable in your own skin and highlighting the beautiful body you were given in this lifetime. It might not seem so straight forward to you right now but it truly is just a number.
JUNE MOOD BOARD
I truly can’t believe we are almost half way through the month of June already. The shop is in full summer season mode and has been keeping me quite busy. June marks the official start to summer, everything outside is green + lush, temperatures are warm, and the sunshine is here to stay. This month is full of busy work days, nightly walks by the lake, time in the garden, and soaking up plenty of sunshine. We have two weddings this month along with gathering inspiration and designing a very beautiful project in the backyard [ more details coming soon }.
SUMMER MUSES
Summer is just around the corner as the temperatures are getting hotter by the day. Everything in the garden is continuing to bloom and starting to look so beautiful. I can’t wait to starting harvesting the fresh stems and styling them inside. As we head into the summer season I wanted to curate a list of pieces that are inspiring me currently.
FOR THE LOVE OF STRIPES
Give me all things blue and white striped please. As for my love of all things blue + white for summer grows by the day I can’t help but share this gorgeous cotton striped midi dress from Target. This dress is such an easy one to throw on and look put together in a pinch. I wore this to a bachelorette party brunch on a beautiful Saturday morning followed by a walk on the beach to a light house on Lake Michigan.
MAY MOOD BOARD
The month of May is here and summer is approaching fast. May is the start of my busy season at the shop so I’m in full on preparation mode for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. I’ve also been working on a new website for my brand Nash & Ivy that I’m so excited to launch at the end of this month as well. It has been something I have wanted to do for over 2 years and will help us continue to grow. This month I’ve been inspired by all the soft nautical tones of white, taupe, and soft blues. Hydrangeas have always been a love of mine and can’t wait to incorporate them more this month both at home and in my work. They are my favorite fresh flower to style with at home.
SPRING PICKS FROM H&M
For spring I have been craving a few fresh + new pieces to add to my wardrobe. When sourcing for new pieces I was excited to see H&M have so many new + classic pieces that just arrived on their site. Linen has found a special place in my heart and I’m still very inspired by all things stripes. There are a few events + occasions coming up that I’m so excited to style my new pieces for. Below is a curated list of some of my favorites.
APRIL MOOD BOARD
It feels like just yesterday I was sourcing inspiration for the March mood board. April is officially here and I couldn’t be more excited to see what this month brings. Everything is slowly turning more green outside here in the midwest and I’m anxiously awaiting for the last frost to start planting my flower garden.
SIMPLE FOR SPRING : ROMANTICIZING THE MUNDANE
This spring season I am focusing on simple things that can add so much joy to the mundane day to day. As the days get longer and the sun is out a little bit more each day it’s important to sneak in bits of your own joy throughout the busy days + weeks to come as the summer season approaches. Let’s start romanticizing little everyday things because the impact they can have is such a game changer.
SPRING REFRESH : TARGET
As I recently combed through my wardrobe trying to find something to wear for the day I noticed my closet was lacking some key pieces for spring. With the temperatures warming up slowly day by day it was time for me to source a few staples to carry me through spring and early summer. While running errands I stopped by Target to pick up a few grocery staples and casually strolled by the clothing sections.
MARCH MOOD BOARD
It’s the first official day of March and the sun is finally shining. It’s starting to feel like there is light at the end of the long winter tunnel. The temperatures outside are starting to rise and the anticipation of waiting for everything to bloom again is strong. My focus for this month is to continue at a slow and steady pace + letting new creative projects blossom.
WARDROBE REFRESH : CASUALS FOR SPRING
As I get older my style + taste has definitely evolved into a much more casual aesthetic. My approach to style and the pieces I bring into my wardrobe are an extension of who I am and what I feel the most comfortable in which is how it should be shouldn’t it? As the spring season approaches I want to slowly add in a few new staples to refresh my assortment for spring.
OCTOBER MOOD BOARD
October is here and is flying by. Fall is officially here and the temperatures are cool + crisp. This time of year is one of the busiest times for us as Harvest is in full swing and we are in full holiday shopping preparation mode at the shop. It’s the season for funky pumpkins, cozy knits, and spooky movies. Currently I am inspired by cozy layers.
BACK TO BASICS : BUCK MASON
Buck Mason has been a favorite of mine for awhile now. It is one of my go-to brand for basics. I first discovered the brand while on a trip to Nashville. They have the coolest brick and mortar that is such a beautiful expression of their brand. Their pieces are both timeless + classic that give off that effortlessly cool look.

THE FALL CLASSICS : TARGET
Target is stepping up their game with gorgeous fashion offerings for fall. I found some amazing gems early this week while running errands. Starting with The Denim Jacket Of The Season. Take my word for it that this under forty dollar denim number is so so good. It will be a piece that I will reach for time and time again.
SEPTEMBER MOOD BOARD
September is here and fall is approaching quickly. I couldn’t be more happy to welcome autumn with open arms. The temperatures are starting to drop and the crispness in the air makes my heart sing. I know it is cliche to say but fall clothing is my favorite to style when it comes to the colder months of the year.
IN MY DENIM ERA
Currently I am on a journey to curating an elevated collection of denim. I’ve always been a girl that loves a lot of stretch in my denim for comfort. While I still gravitate towards comfort I am moving into the world of more structured denim.
FRESH PICKS FROM H&M
H&M is running a 15% off sitewide sale and just added so many classic pieces to add to your wardrobe. They are spot on with the pre-fall trends and I have curated a few of my favorites that I bought to add to my closet and help me transition to the new season ahead seamlessly.
EARLY AUTUMN MOOD BOARD
August is here which means it’s time to dig out all the transitional pieces from storage. I’m welcoming warmer tones, lots of layers, and textured accents to inspire creativity for the new season ahead. Autumn is such a magically time of year. The temperatures start to cool a bit in the evenings which means crisp fall days are coming.
