A NEW FOUND LOVE : CURATING ART FOR THE HOME
A big focus for me while making our house feel like home again is adding art pieces to our current style for our home. Art has been something that I have loved for sometime but now actually hand selecting pieces to put in our home makes my heart skip a beat. On my own journey of putting my original pieces out into the world, it’s important to me to slowly collect pieces of art that reflect our personal style and taste in our home. While scrolling social media I came across artist Shelby Wimberly work and immediately fell in love with her pieces. I was lucky enough to snag one of her smaller pieces that is featured above and it’s just the start of collecting her beautiful pieces.

HOME REFRESH: OUR MASTER BEDROOM
In an effort to start making our house feel like home again we chose to start with our master bedroom. This is our sanctuary for rest and to instill calmness that has felt a little more empty lately. We knew we wanted to go a bit darker for the paint color to add coziness to the space.

SUNDAY STYLING : REFRESHING OUR CONSOLE
I celebrated a slow Sunday at home in comfy clothes and refreshing the console table in our dining room. Earlier this week I had stopped into my favorite local plant shop (Katie Casey Designs) in Clear Lake and got a first look at a new shipment of plants she had just brought into the shop. It has been so wonderful to add freshness to our space and have something to care for.

ROMANTICIZING THE SIMPLE THINGS
Today was filled with a grocery + floral run, garden clippings, and styling our new coffee table. My inspiration was layering with muted tones, textured glassware, and fresh greens for an effortless feel. I love to fill our home with beautiful books and magazines to refer back to when the inspiration is fading a bit.
