EDITOR’S NOTE 8.10
It has been a very full summer over here in our little corner of the world. I apologize for my absence in this space the last few months. It feels as though summer has just flown by and autumn is right around the corner, but I am back and ready to share all about what I have been up to, loving, and a few projects on the horizon.
During the summer, the shop is bustling with people that are back to spend the summer season at the lake. We have launched a few bigger projects that had been in the works such as the Charm Bar, Americana Summer Collection, and our exclusive Garden Party Collection. We are nearing the end of our season that ends Labor Day Weekend. It brings mixed emotions as I am sad to see the people leave but eager for a little break before the craziness of holiday season.
I’ve been focusing on growing my socials and connecting with brands that I love. I’ve had the opportunity to create content for a few brands and am slowly growing my partnerships. Slowly curating my favorite pieces on both ShopMy + LTK has been such a dream to create as well. It gives me so much inspiration as well as having easy to use platforms to share what I love with all of you.
The flower garden is in full bloom with so many beautiful stems. The zinnias are standing so tall + I’ve planted a few more flower varieties that will bloom into the fall season to continue to have fresh stems to style with. It truly is a gift to have a little space in our backyard to get my hands dirty + care for something all summer long.
We have a few projects on the horizon as construction is about to begin on my backyard studio. We are building a beautiful 10’ x 20’ insulated studio to move my office out of the house and have a proper place to work at home. It has been both overwhelming + so exciting to pick out all the exterior finishes and I’m now starting to pick out my interior finishes as well. Think all white with accents of a deep blue/grey tones. I’ll be sharing more inspiration and sources in a post very soon.
I’ve had a lot on mind lately as I’m approaching the 30th birthday in December. We have been so busy this summer that slowing down a bit will be a chance to catch a breath and plan for the next seasons of life. A chance to focus and edit things in my life that seem a little crowded and to seek clarity on what my next steps will be.
Here’s to more calm in the chaos.
