SPRING STATE OF MIND : MARCH MOOD BOARD

Photos curated from Pinterest.

Warmer temperatures have been teasing us with a taste of spring this past week and it has been truly life giving. I’ve dusted off my spring trench coats and am so elated to start incorporating some spring bits into my wardrobe. Comfort is key for me in this stage of life but that doesn’t mean it has to be lazy or boring. This month my focus for personal style is to keep refining my wardrobe to the pieces that I absolutely love to wear and are easy to mix + match with what I already own. Conscious consumption is something that has become very important to me as there is so much waste in the world already and who doesn’t love a good thrifted fashion find. All the spring fashion is out in it’s prime and it’s been quite tempting to add all my favorites to my cart. I want to be really intentional with my purchases for the new season ahead and have curated a list of a few of my favorites to my Shop My here.

The past couple of months I’ve found a real hankering to be in the kitchen. It’s so calming and gets me through the colder months until we can get back out into the garden. Cooking is such an art and a true blessing to be able to create and nourish your family through homemade dishes. The art of going to the grocery store, picking out your fresh ingredients, and coming home to make a beautiful meal is such a fulfilling feeling. Paying attention to what is in our food while balancing the rising cost of groceries has been a challenge. It has allowed me to get creative with what to make for dinner based on what is on sale or is at it’s peak freshness (not legendary but necessary at this time).

Romanticizing the mundane especially when it comes to our home is something I am actively putting at the forefront everyday. It’s so easy to get caught up in busy schedules + plans. Adding beauty to everyday simple things is such a game changer for your mindset and how the trajectory of the rest of your day + week is going to go. Sundays are my day to reset and prepare for the new week ahead. It’s a time to look over schedules, wash the laundry for the week, tidy up where it’s needed to begin the week on the right foot and who doesn’t love an everything shower on a Sunday evening to relax and unwind.

Adding bits of spring has brought a sense of new + freshness to our home. Whether it’s fresh tulips brought home from the grocery store or a brand new ivory pillar candle placed in a thrifted glass hurricane, it’s small touches that make a home feel layered + inviting. The warmer temperatures have had all things garden on my mind. I’ve already ordered my seeds for my garden beds {a full list of seeds + garden plans here} , and am starting to gather inspiration on some new landscaping to go around my backyard office that we added to the backyard this past fall. You can find a curated list of a few things that are inspiring me for both home and garden here.

Here’s to a beautiful March.
