F/W ‘24 WISHLIST

Fall will forever be my favorite season to dress for. As the crisp air moves in we start thinking about all the layers + textures we can style to keep us warm but still feeling stylish. I look forward to this time of year when the warmer tones come to the front of my closet. I get to play with more texture and layers for my everyday looks. Below I’m sharing a few pieces that I have my eye on to add to my wardrobe for the new season ahead.

  1. Quilted Jackets : I currently don’t have any jackets in this style but am loving that they are having their moment. This Ivory Quilted Jacket from Zara is the perfect neutral tone that can be paired with so many looks. The Free Assembly Quilted Jacket in this beautiful olive color will definetly have a place in my closet. I love the longer length for coverage on cooler days and am excited to style it more casually with my favorite leggings, sweatshirt, and sneakers.

  2. Wide Leg Trousers : This is a style of pant I can’t wait to add into my current assortment. I’ve always felt they are too formal for my everyday style but this is completely untrue. Pinterest is buzzing with fall inspiration pins of outfits that show trousers styled more casually for everyday or even weekend wear. These Wide Leg Black Trousers + High Waisted Dress Pants from H&M are two styles that I’ll be anxiously awaiting their arrival. I plan to style these with my favorite basic tees + sneakers as well as my button down shirts paired down with my sambas for an elevated casual look. While it is still a little warm outside I’ve had a pin saved that I am so excited to style. It involves black trousers, a denim button down shirt, strappy black sandals, and a beautiful handbag.

  3. Ballet Flats : We saw a huge push for ballet flats in summer but the Mary Jane + sling back style flats stand the test of time. In my opinion they never go out of style and offer so much comfort and versatility to my closet. I’ve never been a huge heel girl so flats are my go-to. Browsing through Zara’s new arrivals these Leather Pointed Flats in chocolate brown, and olive are the warmer toned shoes I didn’t know I needed immediately added to cart. These will add a touch of class to any wide leg pant. The little peep of a pointed toe for fall is what I am craving right now.

  4. Textured Blouses : I’ve always been a tee gal but sometimes I crave a little change. Textured blouses create interest and add movement to a look. This White Knotted Crepe Top from Zara adds a touch of class to an everyday outfit. I’ve also been playing around with different materials as well. Mixing my favorite Denim Button Down with a sleek pair of black trousers and a flat sandal is going to be a fall staple look for me.

  5. Fall Handbags : Fall is a time for mixing warmer tones + textures with your classic pieces that you carry from season to season. Every year as the summer season is ending I splurge on a classic handbag to add to my collection if I’m able to. This year I chose this Small Fleming Convertible Shoulder Bag in the color wine from the Tory Burch Sale. Normally I tend to be pretty neutral with my bags but when I spotted this wine color I knew it would add depth and richness to my looks for fall. I’ve also had my eye on this Le Pilage Original Small Travel Bag in the color fawn for quite sometime. It is the perfect size for an overnight bag or to be used as your carryon for the plane.

  6. Wide Leg Denim : Recently I did a full edit of my closet and made the switch to all wide leg denim. In my current size the wide leg style is more flattering for my figure and overall more comfortable which is what I look for in my denim. Don’t get me wrong my Agolde Straight Legs aren’t going anywhere but adding more wide leg styles to the mix has just felt right including my new favorite Wide High Jeans from H&M. The color is to die for and the fit is exquisite.

It’s important to remember that you don’t have to go get a brand new wardrobe every time the season changes. It’s focusing on the classic pieces you love and adding in a few pieces to fill in the gaps that might be missing from your current assortment. Quality vs. quantity is something I live by now that I’m entering my 30’s and focusing on the pieces that I love and make me feel confident but comfortable. Let the cooler temperatures come and the leaves start to fall.
